Gaffel is the only Cologne brewery to receive the NRW State Prize for Family Businesses for the seventh time

Cologne, December 4, 2023 – Gaffel is the only Cologne brewery and one of eight NRW breweries to receive the State Prize for Food from the NRW Ministry of Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

This is the seventh time that Gaffel has received this special award. The award recognizes the first-class product quality of the family brewery. In addition to the positive evaluations in food monitoring, the commitment to ecological measures and the use of its own ISO-certified sustainability manager were particularly emphasized in the assessment.

In order to be awarded the State Prize of Honor, companies must have previously received gold medals from the German Agricultural Society for their products. Gaffels Fassbrause, Gaffel Kölsch, Gaffel Wiess, Gaffel Lemon, Gaffel SonnenHopfen and the spirit Schwester Herz have already been awarded DLG Gold several times.
